Today we light four candles. The first candle reminds us of God’s promise of hope. The second candle reminds us of God’s gift of love. The third candle reminds us of the joy of Christ’s coming. The fourth candle reminds us of the gift of peace; the Christ-child will come as the Prince of Peace.
