The religious leaders were muttering and complaining that Jesus welcomes sinners and eats with them. Jesus responds by telling his disciples several parables with the understanding that the Pharisees and teachers of the law would be listening. Today’s message brings Jesus’ teaching to a climax as judgment and eternal destiny are brought into the picture. How we handle our money and possessions in life is very important. Are we being good stewards of what we’ve been given by God… Every Day?
Let the Holy Spirit of God work in all our hearts and lives so that we will foster generous and joyous lives lived in gratitude to God for all He has done for us.
May the Lord give each of us wisdom and insight as we apply these holy words to our own lives. And may generosity take on a new urgency — every day!
