What could be more fun than a “Good Ol Summer Time” Picnic in June??
Please mark your calendars and join us for our Annual (End of Sunday School Year) Church Picnic on Sunday, June 9, after the morning service!! The Fellowship Committee will provide grilled hot dogs or brats, and if you could bring a favorite summer dish or two to pass (salads, vegetables, fruits, desserts, etc …), we should have a delicious smorgasbord!!
Fun games for the kids (and young at heart) will be provided, along with drinks and tableware. We hope to be outside (weather permitting) so if you prefer your comfortable lawn chair, you are welcome to bring it along. Please sign-up on the sheet at the back table so we can have a variety of foods to share.
National Day of Prayer – Thursday, May 2
The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May.
The 62nd Annual National Day of Prayer will take place this Thursday, May 2, 2013. Millions will unite in prayer at thousands of events from coast to coast. This year’s theme, “Pray for America” is based on Matthew 12:21 which reminds us that “In His name the nations will put their hope.”
All are invited to an informal gathering for prayer and praise at Fellowship Church on May 2 at 7:00 p.m.
June 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Utilize the convenient location and high traffic area of the church parking lot to have your own sale table among other sellers from our church family. If you plan on participating please sign up at the back table so we can make sure we have enough tables. If we decide to cancel due to the weather, we will call the people on the list. Questions? Contact Rebecca Kahly or Carol Whiteside.
